In den Weihnachtsnächten erscheinen dem alten Geizhals Scrooge die Geister der Vergangenheit, der Gegenwart und der Zukunft. Sie zeigen ihm, wie er als kleiner Junge war, wie er heute ist und wie er enden wird, wenn er weiterlebt wie bisher. Der Blick in die verschiedenen Welten verändert Scrooge nachhaltig. Der Storyteller Robert MacCall lässt auf lebendige Weise die Dickens’sche Weihnachtsgeschichte vor Ihren Augen entstehen.

This will be the 21st year of my performance of this story in Hamburg!

"Let nothing you dismay" (= don't worry - be happy) I'm back again to give my performance of the same story which at 21 years must have come of age in the old sense. How time flies! Dickens thought Christmas was the best season of the year. And I have to agree. It's not exactly a season but the twelve nights of the midwinter solstice are a special time for gathering friends and family and celebrating together. Remembering Christmas's past and 'absent friends' - all those who are no longer with us or are unable to be with us.  A time for gathering strength to face the challenges of the new year.

And this story (the same but every year slightly different) is a wonderful way to open up to the spirit of Christmas with its collection of unforgettable characters. It gives us hope that a better world is possible through the redemption of the seemingly irredeemable Ebeneezer Scrooge. It reminds us that new beginnings are possible.
